Self-doubt

Just some thoughts I recently had on a night full of insomnia and while battling self-doubt on a few projects I’m working on.

  1. It happens. Every time you make a big decision, or you prepare for a change. It’s there, and it’s a given. So stop letting it surprise you – just know it’s part of the process.
  2. Acknowledge it and move past it. Don’t give it the importance of “ignoring it.” Like the big elephant in the room that looms in the back of your mind and try to ignore, self-doubt weighs on you. So acknowledge that it’s there and don’t give it power. Say to it in your mind “I see you, and I choose to not hang out with ya.”
  3. Don’t act in fear of it, act in spite of it. It’s there, but don’t let the fear of it make you run away from your goal. Use it as a motivation to run towards it.
